CLIENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read these terms and conditions, which apply to the provision of my professional services. By making an appointment, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. If you are unable or unwilling to agree to these terms and conditions, please do not book an appointment or continue with your course of therapy.
Initial Consultation (30 Minutes)
No therapy will be provided during the consultation. The purpose of this initial consultation is to go through the intake process. During this call, the therapist will estimate the number of sessions required to address your presenting issue based on the information provided. Estimates are rough guidelines and are subject to change.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
Sessions
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is payable at the time of booking your first in-person session. The balance of the fee is due at least 48 hours prior to the first session. If payment is not received 24 hours before your session, it will be canceled and may be offered to someone else. It is your responsibility to pay the session fees before each scheduled session to confirm the appointment booking.
CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING & REFUNDS
you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide as much notice as possible. Notification must be made via email or phone at least 48 hours prior to an in-person session or 24 hours for an online session.
Refunds
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of online sessions. Session fees are for my time and professional expertise and do not guarantee a successful outcome. Therefore, no refunds will be given for any sessions attended and paid for. If a discount package or therapy program has been booked and paid for in advance, a pro-rata refund will be issued after deducting the full standard session fee for sessions attended if you choose to discontinue therapy.
Session Fees
All professional fees will be disclosed to you prior to booking. Fees are subject to review and may increase over time. You will receive confirmation of the fees before booking.
Payment Methods
Payment may be made online via credit/debit card through QuickBooks, Venmo, or Zelle.
CONTACT BETWEEN SESSIONS
Any contact between sessions will be by telephone, email, or letter during office hours only (9 am - 5 pm). Messages received outside these hours will be addressed during office hours only.
MEDICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS
I may ask questions about your medical history to establish any contraindications to treatment and assess how your health may affect or be affected by the therapeutic goals you wish to achieve. Please update me on any medical changes during your therapy or if you are returning after a period of absence. If you are receiving care from any medical or healthcare practitioner (e.g., GP, Psychologist, Psychiatrist), you may be asked to seek their permission before therapy sessions can commence. Note that I cannot offer services if you suffer from epilepsy or any form of psychosis.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in online sessions. Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
ATTENDING YOUR SESSIONS
Please ensure you are available at your session start time. If you are running late, let me know as soon as possible. I will do my best to provide a full session, but this cannot be guaranteed depending on subsequent bookings.
HYPNOTHERAPY RECORDINGS
Hypnotherapy recordings should not be listened to while driving, operating machinery, or engaging in any activity requiring concentration. Recordings provided are for your personal use only and must not be shared, copied, lent, or sold.
OUTCOME OF SESSIONS
The agreement to work on your issues does not imply or guarantee resolution. No outcome can be guaranteed, but I will always strive to use my best efforts and skills toward your goals.
STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOUR
During sessions, I will treat you with respect. In return, you agree not to harm yourself or others, or property. You agree not to attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, except for prescribed medications. If you do attend under the influence or demonstrate violent behavior, I may cancel the session and refuse further sessions without refund.
